For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many. Mark 10:45
Can you believe the great Triune God was SO intensely interested in man that He Himself became a Man??
These words really touched me this week: intensely interested.
There is an account in Luke 7 where the Lord Jesus is on His way into the city of Nain, and He gets interrupted by funeral procession. The only son of a widow had died and she was weeping…
And when the Lord saw her, He was moved with compassion for her and said to her, Do not weep. Luke 7:13
He of course, being the incredible One that He is, resurrects the son and gave him to his mother… but what I never saw until now was the focus. The initial touch that caused Him to perform this miracle...
He saw her tears. And was moved with compassion for HER.
He spoke first to her, to comfort her as her tears moved Him! — then He performs the miracle of resurrection…
This is my dear Lord Jesus. Intensely interested. Moved for man. Serving man.
Even in Mark 10:45– the goal is actually not to lay His life down as a ransom… He came to SERVE man! It was due to this great NEED of man that He laid His life down…
I just don’t really have the words.
So this week I decided I really want to practice lol.
There is no doubt that I do NOT have such a heart, such a love and such an interest for my fellow mankind… but I see clearly the Lord desires to do it in me and I desire for nothing more than to cooperate with Him that He would reproduce this love as an essential part of my being.
Praise the Lord for my dear GP (gospel partner)!

I asked her, not to make this any kind of method but, hey what do you think about just forgetting standing behind a table to pass out flyers/bibles and instead let’s just go wander around campus and see if there is anyone eating lunch alone. Let’s just practice being intensely interested in a person.. she said ok! 🥹
So after praying together off we went.. and literally within 5 minutes there was a girl sitting alone eating McDonald’s. My heart started to pound. Her headphones are in and she’s head down deep in her phone… but O LORD I thought if not now then I will probably never… so here we go.
“hi! is this seat taken?” 🫠
Praise the Lord for His mercy… this girly was SO sweet! We ended up chatting with her for over an hour. About all sorts of things! What she was studying, how she got interested in the subject, how her family has shaped her journey to this uni…
Someone asked me afterwards, how did you start the conversation? lol well funny enough, literally when she asked us if we were studying at Kingston Uni, I went:
“No actually we are in a Bible school nearby and this week we were reading a lot about how God was SO interested in man that He became a man- Jesus! So now we just wanted to practice too and be intensely interested in you.” — she loved it lol.
She told us how she believes in some sort of higher power but doesn’t know what it is and if she ever will know… her roommate is a Christian and she was always impressed with his humanity! We told her about the eternity God has placed in her being (Eccl. 3:11) and how she has a human spirit, the organ specifically made to contact and receive God Himself. Like connecting to Wifi with her IPhone!
Anyways the time flew and before we knew it, she had to go… We didn’t get her number, didn’t give her a Bible, didn’t ask if she wanted to pray to receive the Lord… yet we all left the conversation SO happy and released! Hani and I were just joyful to speak normally about the Lord and listen to this dear girl and be genuinely fascinated by her story and person…
Maybe this is what it means by “duty is changed to delight” hymn #904 … just happy to sow seeds. and i do believe, when the Lord says she is ready, someone will reap the harvest.
Sorry I started late so I don’t have much time to say much more but hallelujah rest assured (mom & dad especially), I’m still very much enjoying the training!
It is definitely getting intensified in many aspects but my Lord is still sweeter each day than He was the day before. (: And He really does know how to use EVERYTHING to gain us as His sanctified, useful vessels— prepared unto every good work. (2 Tim. 2:21)
I love Him and I love being here.
So here’s LOTS of pictures and a lil video to give y’all some insight 😉

And saving the best for last 😉…
In love,
Dasha.
